Christine Balint is an award-winning Australian novelist and academic whose work has been published and praised in Australia, the US and Europe.
Her debut novel The Salt Letters was shortlisted for the Australian/Vogel Literary Award, and her later novella Water Music won the 2021 Viva la Novella Prize. Christine weaves rich historical research with compelling, human stories.
Her new novel, A Single Witness, is inspired by a remarkable 18th-century Venetian court case and brings a forgotten voice to life.
Christine teaches creative writing at La Trobe University and lives on the Mornington Peninsula on Bunurong Land.
