Pat Rosier Poppy decides she must travel to Yorkshire to see her father, George, who is dying of cancer. She is thrown into the role of carer, but also into her own emotional tumult. Poppys brother Stefan must come to grips with childhood hurts; Georges wife, Susanna must learn to like her daughter; Jane needs to sort things out with Héloise. And Poppy? Pat Rosier lives in Wellington, NZ and is well known for her work as a journalist and editor of NZ's long-lasting women's magazine, Broadsheet as well as having poetry published in several anthologies. She is also the author of several books about the challenges that women face at work, in public life, body images and in Womens Studies. Her novel, Poppys Progress was published in 2002 and Get Used To It!, with Myra Hauschild in 1999. . |
