Pat Rosier Poppy Sinclair is approaching fifty and - mostly - loves her life, teaching young children, living in her Auckland house, intimately involved with friends and family. Its an ordinary life she thinks, but with her partner she has found a place in the world, which suits her. But when things change unexpectedly Poppy discovers that even those you are closest to can surprise you, and that especially in midst of disaster new adventures and special relationships can arise. Pat Rosier is a former editor of Broadsheet, New Zealand's foremost feminist magazine, a former school teacher, and currently earns her living as an organisational consultant. She shares a house at the beach with her partner, Prue Hyman, in Paekakariki on the North Island's Kapiti Coast. Her previous publications include contributions to two poetry collections and, with Myra Hauschild, Get Used To It! Children of lesbian and gay parents, also available from Spinifex. |
