"The contexualisation of memes to poetry and technology can be so successfully transposed to the survival of the Indic oral traditions. The caste of Bharatas are the memes of Natyashastra across the regions while reenacting the mythology of the fire sacrifice and retelling that first story about the tug-of-war between deva and asura. Perhaps more than that the Vyasas are the memes who have kept the epics pan Indian (sub continental and even south east-asian) and have interpolated political and historical inventions over time. This ensures that the maps of the epics' universes are intact while containing the vehicles of evololution within."
