Cow in the media
Added on Thursday, March 31, 2011
The Weekend Post (Cairns) interviewed Susan Hawthorne about her recently released poetry collection Cow. Susan had this to say about using the cow as her inspiration: "The cow is a really important part of Indian culture. It has a rich mythology and is important in the economy." She went on to talk about the writing process and being influenced by Tamil poetry's use of imagery and emotion: "I want to feel something. It [Cow] has to be more than an intellectual offering."
