It is groundbreaking and gives details on the benefits and risks of medical intervention in ‘the mid-life woman’. Sandra Coney argues that healthy mid-life women are being deliberately targeted by vested interests with products and services to sell. In the process, the normal event of menopause is being redefined as a health hazard that needs to be treated.
