Denise Thompson was born in Mt Isa, Queensland in 1940 and apart from her first six months, has lived in Sydney since. She is the author of Radical Feminism Today (2001), Reading Between the Lines: A Lesbian Feminist Critique of Feminist Accounts of Sexuality (1991), and Flaws in the Social Fabric: Homosexuals in Sydney (1985) as well as numerous reports and papers.
