Myra Hauschild

Myra Hauschild was born Christmas day 1954. Grew up in Christchurch and lived there until February 22, 2011. In Christchurch she gained a Diploma of Professional Photography, a BFA in photography and Feminist studies, plus a Post Grad in teaching and learning. She has been a teacher of art and photography for the last decade. Myra now lives on Waiheke Island after an extended trip around the world concentrating on Israel where she mediated as to what will be the next adventures of her life. As it turns out being a full time artist/photographer is what inspires her now although keeping a few painting classes for kids after school and photography classes in her studio as teaching is and always will be a passion.

She is the author of Silent Fighters and Get used to It. Get Used to It is a collaboration with Pat Rosier. Both books are photographic documentaries.
